Ms. Ratner's diverse background enables her to better represent attorneys in the various subject matters that arise in legal malpractice actions and other defense litigation.
Ms. Ratner’s practice concentrates in the areas of legal malpractice defense, professional liability and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Ratner litigated cases in both State and Federal court with varied subject matters including: banking, civil rights, sexual harassment, age discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants, breach of contract, construction law, personal injury, legal malpractice and securities fraud. Her diverse background enables her to better represent attorneys in the various subject matters that arise in legal malpractice actions and other defense litigation.
Ms. Ratner is the 2nd Vice President of the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County, and a member of the Commercial Litigation Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association. In addition, Ms. Ratner has been recognized as a Rising Star in the 2014 and 2015 New York Metro Area editions of Super Lawyers Magazine. Each year, no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.
She received her Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2005, and her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 2002.
Ms. Ratner is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey; the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York; and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
