Matthew R. Auer is an associate in L’Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, L.L.P.’s New York office, where he focuses on defending a variety of professionals in malpractice actions, as well as defending clients from discrimination claims.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Auer practiced in general litigation, focusing on defending clients in matters concerning property damage, construction labor law, breach of contract, maritime, and premises liability.
Mr. Auer earned his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law in 2014, where he served as the Secretary of the Hofstra Tax Law Society, and interned at a large international law firm where he worked on a variety of complex federal maritime litigation matters. He is currently admitted to practice law in the State of New York. Mr. Auer received his B.S. in Accounting from the University at Albany School of Business, and also holds a United States Coast Guard issued 100 Ton Master Near Coastal License.
