Partner Douglas R. Halstrom presents seminar “Ethics for Engineers” as part of annual New Jersey Transportation Conference and Expo - TransAction 2020, "America’s Premier Transportation Conference"

10.21.20

On October 20, 2020, partner Douglas R. Halstrom presented a virtual seminar entitled “Ethics for Engineers” as part of the TransAction 2020 - New Jersey Transportation Conference and Expo.

Mr. Halstrom’s presentation focused on important aspects where ethical rules need to be followed.  The seminar also covered some New York and New Jersey rules including processes for ethical complaints, basic ethical rules, what constitutes professional misconduct, conflicts of interest, etc.  Additionally, examples of case studies were discussed involving ethical complaints or ethical questions that were resolved through the Board of Ethical Review of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Although the annual conference could not be held in person this year, organizers invited participants to leave your mask at home and experience the same activities as in years past via a new virtual format.  Programming included more than 75 pre-recorded workshop sessions that covered a myriad of transportation subjects, legal topics, and the Covid-19 virus.  All conference videos, as well as other program materials will be available on demand 24/7 until November 19, 2020.

Many workshop sessions are eligible for New Jersey PDH and AICP (Planners and Engineers) Continuing Education Credits.  To learn more, or to register for this online event, please visit the 2020 New Jersey TransAction Conference website here.  A printable pdf of the complete program can also be accessed through this link.
