Partner Marian C. Rice is to be a featured presenter for the New York State Bar Association's CLE entitled, “Legal Malpractice 2025”. This event will be held via webinar on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Ms. Rice will be reuniting with the NYSBA Risk Management band to co-present this special one-day CLE event, designed to educate attorneys on potential legal malpractice exposures, how to prosecute and/or defend oneself in the event of such a lawsuit or grievance filing, or when a situation arises that indicates a claim is likely. Both solo practitioners and members of larger firms can benefit from knowing how to assess professional liability risk and manage legal malpractice litigation.
Do not miss this unique opportunity to enhance your legal knowledge, earn 4.0 CLE credits, and save on your Lawyers’ Professional Liability Insurance. Attendees that are CNA/USI policyholders can benefit from a 7.5% credit on their LPL premiums. If the renewal date has already passed, this credit will be applied to the next renewal. Note, this credit is per attorney participating in the program, regardless of status (open to full-time, part-time, and moonlighting attorneys). Please visit the NYSBA link below for additional information, or to register for this program.
Lawsuits against lawyers arising from errors and/or omissions in the performance of legal services continue to rise. It is an essential part of a law firm’s business practice to evaluate its legal risk and malpractice insurance needs. This program is designed to educate attorneys on how to prosecute and/or defend a legal malpractice action. In addition, this program will educate attorneys about their legal malpractice exposures, what they should do in the event that a lawsuit or a grievance complaint is filed against them, and what they should do when situations arise that indicate that a legal malpractice claim is likely. Both solo practitioners and members of larger firms would benefit from knowing how to assess professional liability risk and manage legal malpractice litigation.
