The Institute for Design Professionals will host an educational seminar on October 4, 2018. Several of our attorneys will be serving as featured speakers at this event.
Paula M. Gart, Douglas R. Halstrom, Daniel A. McFaul, Jr., and Keith J. Stevens will present "Legal and Ethical Considerations for Today's Design Professional".
The litigious nature of today's society can be somewhat frightening for design professionals who are vulnerable to claims for personal injuries, property damage, and everything in between. While not all potential pitfalls can be avoided, this full day session provides architects and professional engineers with the tools required to reduce the likelihood of a disciplinary violation or costly lawsuit.

Paula M. Gart is a Partner at L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, LLP. Ms. Gart concentrates her practice in the representation of design professionals, and other members in the construction industry. Daniel A. McFaul, Jr. is a Partner at L’Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini, LLP. His practice focuses on construction litigation including the representation of design professionals in all state and federal courts, alternative dispute resolution forums and matters involving professional disciplinary actions, as well as risk management consulting for the design professional.

For the last 16 years, Mr. Stevens' practice has been solely focused on the representation of design professionals in all types of matters.
