Ms. Monahan has over twenty years of experience in litigating professional liability matters in State and Federal Court as well as arbitrating and mediating claims.
Ms. Monahan has over twenty years of experience in litigating professional liability matters in State and Federal Court as well as arbitrating and mediating claims. She has represented attorneys, accountants, architects, engineers, real estate professional and insurance brokers. Ms. Monahan has also represented clients in complex commercial litigation, including directors and officers, and has counseled clients involved in corporate disputes.
As a member of the Labor & Employment Services Group, Ms. Monahan also represents employers on claims alleging discrimination, harassment and retaliation, wage and hours violations, and counsels employers on employment law obligations as well as risk avoidance regarding employment and discrimination claims.
Ms. Monahan has been selected as a Super Lawyer in the New York Metro Edition of New York Super Lawyers annually since 2018. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association. Ms. Monahan has been published in the ABA/BNA Lawyer's Manual on Professional Conduct, Current Reports. She received her Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of law in 2000, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Catholic University of America in 1993.
Ms. Monahan is admitted to practice law in the State of New York, and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, and Northern Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
